Comment Period and meetings for the Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks Draft Grizzly Plan will be coming up and we ask that all sportsmen take the opportunity to attend meetings and voice their opinion   The draft is an updated plan as the 10 year Plan drafted in 2002 has expired. See below for detailed contact information and any details on the meeting time and dates.  The actual draft plan is below for download and viewing.

Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks (FWP) developed the original grizzly bear management plan and programmatic environmental impact statement for grizzly bear management in southwest Montana in 2002. The management plan and Environmental Impact Statement was effective for a ten year period (2002-2012). Since development of that plan the Final Conservation Strategy for the Grizzly Bear in the Greater Yellowstone Area has been published (2007) and numerous policies and Montana Codes have been adopted, altered, or removed relative to grizzly management.
